Weekday mornings in our household bring a very high level of the crazy. My husband leaves just as I’m waking the three kids up, and then I have 45 minutes to feed them, make sure they’re dressed, packed, agendas signed and out the door. On a good day, we run like a well-oiled machine. On a bad day we’re like a giant volcano, just ready to blow.
There’s not a lot of time in my 45 minute military-like campaign for spontaneity or unexpected niceties, and that’s what I like most about Little Jots. Tearing off a pre-written little notes is sometimes all I can manage, and Little Jots has some adorable little messages that I can stick in a lunchbox or an agenda.
“You are important to me.”
“I think you are an amazing kid.”
I love you all the time. I love you no matter what.”
Seal the note with a hug or kiss sticker, and you can be sure that long after the hectic morning has ended, your child will be reminded of you and your message of love. For the days when I’ve actually got a spare 2 minutes and can track down not only the Little Jot pad, but also a pen, I can write my own personal note for my kids. I even took one along to curriculum night, and left it in my daughter’s desk to surprise her the next day.
So for the mornings when you feel a little like Mt Vesuvius ready to blow, throw a little jot in your kids’ lunchboxes…they’ll appreciate it when the dust settles.

surprise notes are an awesome thing. i had to go up to my daughter’s class during recess when she wasn’t there and i left her a sticky note and she talked about it the rest of the day.

These are awesome. Sometimes I have the time to add to it or to write my own personal note but when I don’t or am feeling less creative I pick out one that suits and tuck it in. I feel better about my day already!
