LOST: Sundown

March 4, 2010 by Unknown

I’ll be honest, other than Kate, Sayid is probably my least favorite LOST character. I have always found him kind of too infatuated with Nadia. Oh my god, Nadia this and Nadia that. Sayid, someone super complicated and complex because he was once a torturer who did bad things but now is a good guy, you know, until it comes to beating someone to a pulp, and then he comes in super handy. But, I sort of realize now that the Nadia fixation serves a very important purpose…it’s how NotLocke aka THE smoke monster gets Sayid to play for the baddies….He promises that Sayid will be able to be reunited with his long lost DEAD love. Interesting.

“What if I told you you could have anything you wanted? What if I said you could have anything in the entire world?”

“I would tell you that the only thing I ever wanted died in my arms and I’ll never see her again.”

“But what if you could?”

Also, you know, there was a kick-ass fight scene between the torturer and the ninja. awesome.

Some other important things happened this week…like Claire going to the temple (of doom) to talk to deliver messages because, you know, NotLocke is not allowed, due to the ring o dirt. NotLocke promised that she’d reunite Claire and baby Aaron…she was an easy sell too. Also, is Kate now on the dark side, um, by accident?
Miles provides the one-liners while Hurley is absent. “Welcome to the circus.”
Claire’s reunion with Kate was probably a lot more creepy than Kate expected.
Keamy aka THE dude who killed Alex shows up in sideways world! AWESOME! Also? Jin in the meat locker!
Also, we learn that NotLocke cannot be stabbed, even if Dogen said he could. Chances are good that Dogen sent Sayid out there to be killed. Or not. I mean, he did tell him to do the stabbing before the talking, but NotLocke spoke first…so, I guess we’ll never know…on account of Dogen being, um, DEAD.
Also? Where is Sawyer?

I am loving this show. I had 2 posts written up for your last episode review and they somehow got lost:( BOO
My favourite thing was Keamy showing up in the alternate reality. And then dying, by Sayid…again! Also Smokey going to town at the temple and not giving a shit who he killed, not that he killed anyone we knew. Also fight between Sayid and Dogen was awesome. Also Sayid killing Dogen just when you thought maybe they were bonding and john lennon dude. And yes how the hell did Jin end up in the meat locker? So I guess I had a few favourite things.
Least favourite? Lupidis, Ilana, Sun and Ben showing up out of nowhere. There have been a couple of scenes this year that have been like that for me. Also, Sayid’s alternate life, Nadia being married to his brother and Kate. I am predicting that Kate is going to bite the dust and not just because Claire is’ evi’l. She definitely doesn’t have a storyline and if you are going to kill off a major character I wouldn’t be sad to see her go!
I’m also still trying to figure out who is good and who is evil? But I guess that is what we are all trying to figure out. And my friend mentioned to me that the opening credits have been fading with each episode which I have yet to go back and look into but if it’s true, why?

Remember in season 1, I think it was season 1, maybe season 2, when Sayid did that AMAZING leg sweep kick thing? I nearly lost my mind when that happened! I tried it on my wife but failed miserably and injured my groin. In any event, the ninja/torturer fight scene was on that level.
Is it just me, or is there more commercial than Lost so far this season?
