Lost In Cyberspace…

February 19, 2008 by Jen

So I’m told that cleansing is now in style. I mean: InStyle.

Evalongoriainstylemarch2008

That’s right, go check out the March issue of InStyle Magazine with Eva Longoria on the cover (it hasn’t quite hit the stands just yet, though, so don’t go running out to Shopper’s and Chapters and whatnot looking for it…not that I did or anything…just saying…)

I’m really looking forward to reading this one. I guess there’s an article in it reporting that the Isagenix cleansing systems are a big hit with the celebs down in Hollywood, and you know, I always like to feel a bit ahead of the curve, instead of way behind it (which is my usual state of being). So I will be kicking back with a tall glass of water (or maybe my morning IsaLean shake) and reading all about how the celebs are cleansing, thereby garnering a wee little bit of cool by association.

But today, I tried to find out more online, and got sucked into the vortex that is the Hollywood Hair Makeover. Check it out; if I ever, ever say I am going to cut my hair short or dye it blonde, please come and restrain me physically and force me to stare at this picture without blinking for 48 hours:

Short

And if I ever, ever say I’m going to grow my hair long, ditto for this one:

Long

But other than the fact that I have a bad face for any kind of hairstyle, the most depressing thing to note when lost in hollywood hair cyberspace is that your children are always, no matter what, way more attractive than you are.

To wit:

Jennifer_garner

My oldest daughter with Jennifer Garner’s hair, and:

Madonna

My youngest daughter with Madonna’s hair.

Why do I even bother going up against these fresh, young, unwrinkled and unjowled faces?

It’s their smooth, poreless faces that make children so much more lovely – I don’t think ANY adult woman looks good playing with those hairstyle games!

My Mom & I had sooooo much fun playing with these hairstyles. I am really glad that I never went platinum blonde. Yikes!!

So funny. Just tried it myself and am shocked how horrific I look.
Great to hear things are so great on the cleanse.

OMG!! I love it! No, NEVER cut your hair short and dye it blonde…heehee. I am heading there right now. Your kids of course look beautiful.
As for being ahead of the curve that is soooo cool! I am definitely going searching for this issue.
