Two months in and i’ve finally gotten myself into a really good gym routine.
mondays, tuesdays and thursdays. from 4:15 – 5:15. weights and then elliptical. and i watch a combination of Y&R and Ellen.
it works well, for the most part.
want to guess the one problem?
i can’t watch Ellen in public. with earphones on. it’s just too funny.
when Ellen comes out with something like…You know how you always expect someone to think the same as you and then your like, really shocked when they don’t? Like when it’s a cold day and you turn to the person next to you and say, ‘Its so cold, aren’t you cold?’ and then they say ‘no.’ It’s kinda like, ‘what, are you a communist?’ i’m going to smile. i might even snicker.
when she squawks at her audience, i’m going to snicker. i might even giggle.
when Sandra Bullock talks about her 2-legged dog i’m going to giggle. i might even spit out my water.
and when Gladys Hardy calls up Ellen and says, "honey, i love Jesus, but i drink a little" i’m going to spit out my water. i might even laugh out loud.
and then those people who are working out in front of me. they are going to turn around. because they think i’m laughing at them. so, i have to motion over to them with an ever-so-coy no, dear, it’s not you, it’s me.
but, i have to say, if someone behind me started laughing while i was working out, i would assume they were laughing at…well…at my…erm behind.
i’m going to have to work on that one…

I also watch Ellen at the gym & laugh out loud! Then I look around and to my dismay no one else is watching her. I expect them to turn it on once they see me laughing & enjoying her but they never do? I don’t get it…I love Ellen!

OK…that was one of the funniest moments on TV ever! I love the fact that Ellen couldn’t stop laughing. What a sweet old lady.
My problem at the gym is that I wear my IPod and just want to sing!!! A few times I have started singing out loud and got some really strange looks. My voice sounds great to me drowned out by the blasting music but I have a feeling it ain’t so good with no accompaniment 😉

I watch Ellen at the gym, too! And, I don’t care (you know me) I laugh out loud! And, I look at people to make sure they’re watching Ellen and laughing, too — sometimes I make a connection, most times I don’t. But, the laughing’s great for the stomach muscles! I canNOT to a machine without my Ellen! LOVE GLADYS!!!!
