It’s Good to Be King

October 10, 2006 by Unknown

Having the mayor as your Zaydie (grandfather) certainly has its privileges. We arrived at my mom’s house, and we weren’t there for ten minutes before the mayor whisked up the two kids and took them down to the North Shore fire station, where my kids are now honorary firefighters. they even came home with badges!

*song of the day: fittingly, It’s Good to Be King, by Tom Petty. a fancy little side note. the guy who used to play bass in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, before he died of a drug overdose, was my first cousin, Howie Epstein.

**congrats to Naomi at urbanmummy on her new baby boy!
