the holidays!
From the moment I start cooking for Thanksgiving dinner, I never want that smell to go away. That lovely smell of cooking and baking and family and warmth. I want that feeling to last all year long.
So, I fill my house with candles. I light traditional seasonal scents, like gingerbread and pumpkin spice and apple pie and vanilla and peppermint and clove. But, did you know that they make candles in scents (I almost want to call them flavors) like sugar cookie and Christmas cupcake and banana nut bread and there’s even a smell called “Christmas Eve” – How much do you love that? It can smell like Christmas Eve in your house every single day of the year!
I am hoping to branch out this year into something other than candles. I have friends who use potpourri and room sprays and incense. What about all of you? Do you use any of these to spruce up your homes? What are your favorite products? What are your favorite scents?

I love the smells of the holidays. I just bought my first plug-in, and love it. At this time of year my favorite scent is also cinnamon spice.

I picked up some ‘cinnamon spice’ scented pine cones and placed them around the house. It’s a smell that always reminds me of Christmas and it’s nice and easy!
