I Can Always Use a Good Cry

April 14, 2008 by Jen

I am a total sucker for a good tear-jerker. Sometimes I even rent a movie specifically because I need to have a good cry and let off some emotional steam…very therapeutic. So when my sis who lives in the U.K. sent me this I knew it was a keeper. Yup, I’ll hang on to it for those times when I need just a little something to help open the flood gates. I have watched it 3 times and have yet to get beyond the first 2 minutes without crying…ahhhh, I feel so refreshed.

Check it out and let me know if it’s just me or if you shed a few too:

What an amazing young man. As soon as he started to sing I got goosebumps all over and of course the tears appeared!!! I am sure he has a long career ahead of him because with a gift like that he deserves to show those bullies who is the real winner. Good luck to him.

Still bawling. Can’t answer my 3 year old who listened with me and said “why are they all clapping? Do you think he’s happy?”

Okay,so not fair to have me crying at my desk in the middle of the office! What an angelic voice – he may have been shaking up there, but WOW that took so much courage. I hope he continues on.

Okay, I didn’t even make it ’til the first note & I was balling!!! Man, I wish that show was on over here (& not the pale comparison we have with the Hoff & assorted other characters), Piers & Simon on the same stage is some good tv.

The internet is not good for my hormonal tear jags…between that, the autistic kid who scores the winnnig basket in his basketball game, and The Last Lecture, I could be crying all day. Of course, Peter Yarrow’s version of Puff the Magic Dragon had me welling up with tears on the drive down this morning (why do dragons live forever, but not so little boys??!!)

I know, I teared up too. The best was when they asked what he did about the bullying, and he said, “ehhh…carry on singin'” LOVE!
