I am disorganized by nature but my busy life makes it almost impossible to pull everything together in time for the holidays. This holiday season I have 3 resolutions…check them out:
1) Send cards. Every year I receive beautiful, thoughtful messages from old friends and far away family. I love getting them and always swear I’ll do it next year. This year, it’s gonna happen. I’ve already bought the cards so I have no excuses (hah!).
2) Shop early. Although I love the hustle and bustle of the holiday season the malls are NUTS as you get closer to Christmas. Plus, often stores are all sold out of what I’m looking for. This year, I’m gonna get it over with early…like now…OK, I’m going…soon…
3) Bake. I SO love attending parties and tasting all of the wonderful holiday treats that others make but I rarely find the time to do it myself. And even when I do, there are so many recipes that it is hard to choose. This year our Girls’ Night host, Baileys, has made it a little easier. We invited Elizabeth, our host in our Kitchen Party section to try out some of their yummy recipes. Check them out and let us know what you think!
4) Relax and enjoy! #1 and #2 should help me out with this and #3 will give me something to enjoy while I am relaxing. Often I am so busy rushing around that I don’t get the time to really enjoy the time leading up to the holidays. My love of the holidays means I want to make it perfect for everyone. Unfortunately, that sometimes means I forget about myself!

I sent out my cards today and I have finished all of my shopping! This year I decided to get organized because I NEVER have enough time most years. I know some people are going to think that getting a Christmas card in November is crazy but, better than no card at all!
Now, I will start my baking. And with that will come my eating. Then, in the new year, my diet 😉

Okay, this year I promise to do cards, too! Got the shopping mostly done, baking…still time. What’s next? Oh yeah, enjoy! Right! Gotta schedule that in there somewhere 😉

It is the “relax” part that I always seem to miss each year! I get my cards out, my shopping done early, my holiday baking is enjoyed by everyone, we have an annual holiday party with friends and neighbours. Can you see why I never get a chance to relax! However, I DEFINITELY do enjoy.
