Have you been to Mark’s (formerly Mark’s Work Wearhouse) lately? When I asked my friends whether they’d ever checked out the clothes at Mark’s, I heard everything from laughter to “do they have women’s clothes?” to “my mom buys lots of stuff there.” I’m here to tell you all that you’re missing out on a wardrobe goldmine.
Earlier this month, I was invited to check out Mark’s Spring/Summer line and learn about some of the clothing innovations for the season.
First I heard about Curvetech, and tried on an amazing dress that actually did what it promised; enhanced the bust and controlled the tummy. Curvetech is a “shape management system” in many of Mark’s pieces that has special Nylon Spandex blend panels designed to re-shape, lift and control all the parts of your figure that need the extra help!
In particular, I became an immediate fan of their tank tops with built-in bras. These do not deliver the uniboob shelves typical in such basics, but create a natural and comfortable shape. Curvetech is also used in dress pants, denim, and underwear.
The next line to impress me was the Denver Hayes Soft line. These jeans, t-shirts and sweaters are made with a super soft cotton that is dryer safe (hallelujah…no more damp sweaters lying all over my basement). The stretch fibres provide amazing shape retention (think stretch jeans that don’t sag! It’s a miracle), and t-shirts actually have a 30 wash guarantee!
Finally, I walked a mile in Mark’s shoes featuring their Quad Comfort. In designs from sneakers to dress shoes, there are four basic comfort components in all of Mark’s footwear; shock absorption, weight distribution, cushioning and outsole performance. Mark’s started as a uniform company outfitting professionals who spend a lot of time on their feet, and though their styles have evolved, the emphasis on better footwear remains.
Mark’s really has something for every mom; from the cropped denim jeans you’ll wear in the playroom to the perfectly pressed blouses you’ll wear in the boardroom. They surprised me with their trendy accessories (white sunglasses! canvas purses!) and their classic designs.
So check me out in head to toe Mark’s (denim with Curvetech, Soft sweater and Quad Comfort shoes) and then get yourself over to Mark’s to check it out!

I’ve actually never been to Mark’s, but I recently found some of their Denver Hayes Curvy jeans at Value Village. Oh my God they are comfy! It’s on my list of places to go this month, because I must have another pair!
