Happy Birthday to Me & Happy Multiple Births Awareness Day

May 28, 2012 by erinlittle

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday following a fabulous weekend.

We spent Saturday afternoon and night at Horseshoe Resort.  We swam with other families of twins from our group Temiskaming Multiple Births.
Sunday we went to Canada’s Wonderland to join Brampton Twins Plus Association and other parents of multiples celebrate National Multiple Births Awareness Day.
I loved watching S & F enjoy the rides and swimming at the resort.  Most of all, I love watching their friendship with another set of twins blossom.  The four girls had a blast together.  Listening to their conversations was pure joy for me, and A & J’s parents also.  It was so cute watching the four blond heads poking up over the gate in line for rides.  They all became so much more independent of us as they ran off together to a new ride.

Then today we all lazed about together at The Sausage (the family cottage on Sausage Lake).  It was a perfect day.  Hot and sunny.  We swam!  The lake is at it’s late June temperatures, not bracing just refreshing in a perfect way.  no screams erupted our mouths when we jumped in, simply sighs of contentment.

It’s been a fabulous weekend. I can’t think of a better way to spend my 29th birthday – OK – a trip around the world might trump this but not much else would.
