Halloween hangover

October 31, 2011 by Nancy

There are many things that  a mom misses  as her children grow out of stages.

Halloween may not be one of them.
As much as I love the excitement and the costumes that my two now make themselves – I am very excited that no one this year will be bringing any candy home.

Many  November  nights for years, when I stare down at the garbage box, I have found  myself counting kit kat wrappers. Blushing. (Ummmm, that was not all me was it?)
Many mornings are met with that gross sugar hangover feeling.
But not this year.
YAY.

We’re not there, yet. My kids are 3 and 5, so they bring home a bucket apiece after their tour of our little cul-de-sac. And, unfortunately, I’m the only one in my house who is not allergic to peanuts. Oh, poor me 😉
