My three year-old took this photo, so blame her for its poor angle, the one that makes me look more like a California Redwood tree trunk than a glowing pregnant lady.
The other day I was getting dressed and I caught her staring at my growing belly so I said, “Isn’t it exciting? Mommy’s tummy is getting so big!”
And she replied, “Yes! And your bum is getting so big, too!”
She sounded genuinely thrilled about that development and and I am trying my best to follow suit.
My husband and I have already begun fighting about discussing potential names for this baby and I find myself fearing for her future. We couldn’t have more opposite notions of what makes a great name and it’s so frustrating! My eldest daughter has been convinced for many months now that her name is Millie, but Steve has been quick to veto that (along with 98% of my fantastic suggestions).
If you have any perfect names that you’re willing to share, I’d love to hear them! We’re going to need all the help we can get.
agirlandaboy says
Someone mentioned Elora, which really struck me as your style. And you know, for all the trouble you have coming up with names and all the suggestions you ask for, you and Steve seem to come up with the best ones all on your own.
BTW–is there a boy name you’ve been holding out on that you’d now like to share with the class?
Mama in the City says
You look seriously wonderful. I always have enjoyed your pregnancy pictures and started following Kicky Boots during your 1st pregnancy. I can’t wait for more pictures π

You look lovely.
Girl’s names are a special obsession of mine, which is a little strange considering I don’t know that I’m ever having kids, and even if I am, I am certainly not having SEVENTEEN, so the seventeen girl’s names I have will most likely be put to use in various stories.
Tracy Cameron says
How about Marin… I don’t know how to spell it so you know how to say it. Hopefully you figure out it’s said the way it sounds the nicest hahaha

Girl names we didn’t get to use because we had a boy:
Flora
Valentina
Viola
Addianna
Penelope
Georgie
Sabine
Ophelia
Tula
Paloma
These were my top ten- my husband, he is a different story. He likes something a little plainer, but I like something memorable but not totally weird (and what woman doesn’t?). I think Sabine would make an excellent addition to Avelyn and Karenna!
Dori says
I actually like Millie a lot and you look great!

You DO look like a glowing, beautiful, pregnant lady!
I think Lynnaea,( or Lynnea, or Linnea) is a beautiful name, and I’m sharing because I won’t be able to use it π
Also, Mallory, Eleanor or Elinora.
Good luck! I have been reading your blog for years (me. quintessential blog lurker) and read about the great name debates π
