Well, it’s the last day of our look back at the old Oscar speeches. Hopefully something will happen on Sunday night that can be added to these lists for next year!
I want to leave you with few bits. Just random pieces of awesomeness in my opinion.
John Wayne. Hollywood tough guy coming to say good-bye at The Oscars. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

And one of my favourite is Adrien Brody winning best actor. I loved it because he so deserved it. I remember screaming when he won. And hello….he made out with Halle Berry! Good for him. You can watch his whole speech here. Or if you want to just want him lay it on Halle..
And his nose…ahhhhhhhh god I love a nose like this!
You know what – I was going to post some others – but they were terrible moments – like when Julia Roberts made it all about her when Denzel won best actor (and people wonder why I’m not a fan) and poor Gwyneth’s brutal speech BUT I want to end on these amazing memories.

i’m a sucker for Oscar nostalgia. love the john wayne moment, and the pans of the audience – warren beatty with diane keaton, gregory peck looking dashing…can’t wait till sunday. wonder if billy crystal will be able to recreate his old magic?
I loved that Adrian Brody kiss too… and yes, that nose. *swoons* And heck, I would have kisses Halle Berry too! Good for him… and was she ever lucky, or what?!
