going nuts

March 17, 2011 by Nancy

going nuts.jpg

I have a real problem saying anything wonderful is over. I hate leaving the cottage at the end of the summer, I hate leaving the city at the end of the school year, I hate saying “you are too old for that-leave it behind”, I hate it even a little when the snow melts, I hate when all the leaves are finished falling, I hate when summer starts to cool off. I hate leaving a place I love . I always want just one more day. One more coffee looking at the ocean, one more walk on the beach, one more look at the flowers. I want to hear the ladies, carrying more fruit than you can imagine, say -“good morning” as they come through the sweet back screen door .
I always go a little nuts trying to take it all in before change sets in. I am the one in the back seat with the wet bathing suit a little sorry we had to leave so soon.
Going nuts until the last minute trying to take it all in.
Am I the only one this way over age 10? I claim to like change but seem to fight it too.

I recommend this fishing camp we just returned from – no phones, internet – nothing~

I have a real problem leaving my vacations, but due to my work schedule my vacations turn into non stop emails and phone calls – how to do this, how to do that, when you coming back and so on. I guess being burned out makes you want to vacation , but leaving work at home is the hardest.

You are not the only one.
I actually cry a little… you know what I mean.

I am the exact same way, so I hope that this is normal. I have a very hard time saying goodbye…I just don’t, actually. I avoid all goodbyes. I cry when people move. I mourn Christmas when it’s over. I get sad when holidays end. I don’t like change, especially when I have had a good time. It’s just the way it is. So, I get it.
