Campbell’s Kids’ Soups – urbanmoms.ca Go2Girlz Approved
Picture this: it’s a busy winter’s afternoon and you’re staring at the open pantry scratching your head, wondering what to make for dinner, when the doorbell rings. A large box has arrived by courier, and you wonder what it could be. When you open it, you’re delighted to find an amazing array of canned Campbell’s soups, a box of Goldfish crackers, an apron and a Campbell’s cookbook. Dinner dilemma solved!
Too good to be true, I know, but this is just what happened to a number of the Go2Girlz recently! Our testers were treated to samples of Campbell’s new kids’ soups – designed with kids’ nutrition in mind. These new varieties carry the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Health Check symbol, have less than 480 mg sodium per 250 mL serving and contain no articial flavours or colour and they’re trans fat free. The Go2Girlz and their families sampled Goldfish Tomato Splash, Chicken Noodle Os, Goldfish Pasta in Chicken Broth and Mega Noodles soups, and here’s what they had to say.
Overall, our testers and their families were pleased with the soups. In fact, Go2Girlz member Debby put it best: “What a great new idea – leave it to Campbell’s to be so innovative.” The vast majority of the panel said they would buy these soups again and would (or already had) recommend them to a friend. Almost all of our tester kids adored the soups, especially the two with Goldfish-shaped noodles. Member Suzi told us, “My little girl loved the goldfish-shaped pasta in the soup!”
Here’s more of what the Go2Girlz had to say about the Campbell’s Kids’ Soups:
“My son thought this soup was the "bomb" which to a ten year old means a good thing.”
–Debbi, Go2Girlz member and mom of 1
“It is healthy & very appealing even to fussy kids:”
–Nikki, Go2Girlz member and mom of 4
“…I shared it with others. My 77 year-old mom, who has high blood pressure, loved it and has added it to her grocery list. Another friend who has a 10 & 13 year old (the 13 year old is a very picky eater) also tried a few cans and they all loved it.”
–Sheila, Go2Girlz member and mom of 1
“…whole grain noodles, low sodium product and NO artificial COLOURS is something that most mothers are desperately trying to find to serve their family.”
–Christina, Go2Girlz member and mom of 4

Leave it to Campbell’s. I have always loved their soups since I was a kid but as a mom I love them even more now with this new line of healthier soups.

I love that these soups are transfat free. My son is 6, and really loved the Goldfish shaped pasta, it made eating fun for him and provides a nutritious, easy, dinner solution for me being a working mom.

I’ve tried these and my kids love them, especially the Tomato Splash. They already adore Goldfish, so the pasta shapes were a big hit. I recommend you guys try them for your kids. My husband loves them too 🙂

I love the tomato splash soup because of the full serving of vegetables – which I always had to hide from my kids. It’s so nice to see Campbell’s making an effort to lower sodium in its soups. I want my family to eat healthy so I always look for Health Check products and these soups are perfect for us!

I love the idea of the low sodium, no artificial colours and cool shapes, it’s just too bad that all of Campbell’s soups are made with egg noodles. I know my kids would love them but my son is allergic to eggs so this is not an option for us. Maybe they could think of using egg free noodles too?

What a great idea. I always hesitate to buy soup because of the sodium. I am definitely going to give these a try.

Sounds yummy. I like the fact that it is low in sodium. I’m putting it on my grocery list!
