I do love a hit of leopard… though I will say, that on myself, I often prefer this pattern in the grey tones. It depends on the garment really, but he camel-coloured variety can sometimes give a lady a coo-coo ca-choo Mrs. Robinson vibe – not that that’s a bad thing – but which might not be what one intends at the grocery store. *Ahem*
The bag is brown glen check with a faint pink in the plaid, which was a gift from my sister a few years ago, and I love it for it’s generous size (which makes it feel “daytime”) and for it’s simple, classic shape. I rarely ever use a shoulder strap on a purse – I like handles. They make me feel like such a lady, yo. Plus, with the silver change-purse closure, it helps this bag go in Mad Men like places, when I want to.
I admit that it’s sometimes chilly in the fall for sling-back shoes, but not today – still warm and fairly balmy outside. I counter the deep V-neck on this tunic with cotton shawl-scarf. The jaunty chapeau has some camel running in the herringbone pattern, but it all works because the silhouette of the ensemble is trim and classic.
I love dressing for the Autumn. Try mixing patterns… when your lines are simple, they can totally work. Go! Try!!

And leopard, yes, is better in muted tones or in small flashes, to avoid being mistaken for a different big cat, the leopard’s cousin, Cougar. I have a dress I love that is a black background with cream and light blue, which sounds bizarre, but actually works.
