So when one of my favourite Canadian lines, Live Clean recently launched a new line using argan oil, I was first in line to try it out. Exotic Nectar Argan Oil is their answer to Moroccan Oil, and it sells in drugstores for under $10. I’ve tried out the entire line of Argan Oil products and absolutely love the Argan Oil Conditioning Mask. It’s a deep conditioning treatment that leaves my winter-dry and brittle hair looking and feeling soft and smooth. Even my five year old daughter commented on how nice my hair looked (and if any of you have five year old daughters, you know compliments are hard to come by). Best of all is the scent; it’s a rich nutty, natural scent that belies the bargain nature of this product.
Friday Highs and Lows
I remember the first time someone mentioned Moroccan Oil to me. The way the receptionist in the hair salon spoke of the product in a breathless excitement, I figured it must be either a really good hair product or a highly illegal recreational drug. Turns out it’s a bottle of dark, great scented argan oil and by using only a dime sized amount in my towel dried hair I am able to transport my locks from frizz to fab. But it’s very expensive. At last check, a 100mL bottle will run you about $40 at the local salon.
So my verdict; if you’re a fan of Moroccan Oil and looking to trim your budget, give Live Clean’s new Argan Oil line of products a try. I do need to use a little more of this product to get the same effect as I do with Moroccan Oil, but it’s a quarter of the price for three times the amount (I leave it to you to do the math, but I’m figuring that’s a good deal).
In the interest of full disclosure, Trend Watch is written by me; all opinions are my own. It is not sponsored. Sometimes I am given free products to review and sometimes I purchase the products all on my own. Live Clean sent me a sample of this product, but since then I have purchased other products from the line all on my own.
