For my kids, a ride on the subway is kind of a treat. So, when I asked them to accompany me to tour the new Bell Lighbox – the new home of the Toronto International Film Festival – at the TIFF’s Free Block Party, they were pretty game, even before hearing that there would be face painting and balloon animals and bouncy castles. I had them at the subway. But the TIFF had them at hello.
With a Wizard of Oz theme, and even a yellow-brick road to follow, the block party had much to offer my children.
And with live music and free cupcakes, the block party had much to offer me.
And…of course…I got to sit in the seats at the Bell Lightbox.
