Five years ago today my world got brighter when the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen was placed into my arms. It was an amazing day. I wrote about it when she turned four.
We spent all day yesterday talking about how it was her last day being 4. The last day we will ever have a four year old. “Unless you have another baby, of course” said Eva.
Notta chance. Not happening.
We had our last breakfast with a four year old.
“Next time I go shopping with you, I’m going to be 5, right?” Yep.
“This is my last four year old bath, isn’t it?” It sure is.
“This is my last four year old bath, isn’t it?” It sure is.
“This is the last time you will carry a four year old up to bed and read her stories and sing her songs, right Mommy?” Right, baby.
Then a realization…”Mommy!?! I’m the first jk’er to be five! That’s special, huh?” Omigodtotally. Totally special.
