We are one week into this whole “I have three kids!” deal and things have been going well. There’s no way I’d be able to say that if it weren’t for all the help and support we’ve been flooded with, however. Steve’s mom took our older girls for many playdates and sleepovers in the first few days and worked hard around the house to keep things running. A good friend of ours arranged for meals to be delivered to our home for the first week. We have loved not having to worry about dinner, and the food has been divine and just what this ravenous, nursing mother is pining for. And then my parents arrived the other days and have been busy playing with the girls, holding the new baby, tidying up behind us, and…wait for it…my mom has been spending the nights with Brinley so I have been able to sleep through the night (only waking to pump my 45-pound boobs every few hours)! Talk about spoiled rotten, hey?
First Week
We are SO thankful, and I credit this kind of outpouring of love and support for my not having a mental breakdown and feeling completely overwhelmed in these first few tender days post-birth.

To my pleasure, I have been asked to continue blogging at Urban Moms about life with three kids. I love the community here and have so enjoyed writing The Forty Week Wait. The thing is, I need a new name for the blog now that the forty weeks are (finally!) up. I have come up with a few ideas but would love your input. Here’s what I’ve got:
Life After Birth
The Forty Pound Drop (ha!)
Triple Trouble
Sleep, Sanity and Skinny Jeans: Finding All I’ve Lost
Anyone else have a clever title? I am open to suggestions or you can let me know which of the ideas above you don’t consider totally lame. Thanks!

What a gorgeous baby! You should do Skinny Jeans to complement the Kicky Boots you’ve already got going on π

She is gorgeous!
I like Life after Birth but I also like the Skinny Jeans one as well.

Beautiful picture! I love the skinny jeans name!

Outnumbered and surrounded sounds good, or that Skinny Jeans one (though it is slightly all glass half empty, if you know what I mean).
Glad you have lots of help. It is great to have a hand when you are busy with the aftermath of labor and the sudden changes to your boobs! I hope the transition goes ok after all the help is gone as well!

Beautiful!
Blog title: Outnumbered and completely surrounded
That is what you and the husband are – outnumbered by kids and surrounded by love and blessings.

And BY THE WAY!
That photo completely captures Brinley’s beauty. Nice job Angella. π

I love the skinny jeans one, Amanda.
I’m also going to quote one of your old blogs and throw out “HATRICK!” as an option! π

the forty pound boob? π she is beautiful! just beautiful. good to know you’ll still be writing!
Chelsey says
Sleep, Sanity and Skinny Jeans! Definitely! Also, Brinley is oh-so-gorgeous, which is excellent on her part, because she has two beautiful sisters to compete with in the “foxiest girl under five” category π Keep up the wonderful writing (when you have the time, that is)!

I was going to suggest “Double D”, I like the fourth option. She’s SO adorable! I’m glad you have so much support and help. SO awesome!

I like “Life After Birth”…it’s a good continuation of “The Forty Week Wait”
But “Skinny Jeans” reflects the way your write – with wit and humour!
Many congrats on your beautiful new girl! I was surprised to see dark hair – your big girls are blonde aren’t they?
So glad to hear that you are getting lots of help, allowing you to fully enjoy the precious (and all to short) early newborn phase.
I found that going from 2 kids to 3 was my easiest transition of them all.
Keep well and stay rested!

I’m so glad you’re doing well after your first week of three. I love reading your blogs and am so excited to get to continue reading your Urban Moms blog!
Wishing you all the luck in the world once your Mom’s gone home! Hopefully breastfeeding works out for you this time–I know the frustration of breast feeding woes!
