Michelle Thoms is a former teacher, travel enthusiast and mom entrepreneur.
Michelle began her teaching career at Lawrence Park Collegiate in Toronto, where she taught Drama. After two years at Lawrence Park, she took a year off to pen a play.
She later moved to New York to fulfill her dream of teaching drama to students in Harlem. While living in New York, she gave birth to her daughter, frequently returning home to visit family and friends in Toronto. On these visits she experienced how challenging it can be to travel with a small child.
In 2005, Michelle and her family moved back to Toronto and she began researching baby equipment rental agencies, discovering there was an immediate need.
Michelle opened gogoBaby March 1, 2006, to ease the burden of traveling with small children and to put the fun back in family travel.
As a mom entrepreneur, Michelle loves the freedom of being able to balance her work and family life. She is proud to be a role model for her daughter, proving that a woman can still be a strong, confident business woman and a nurturing, attentive, mother and wife.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Drama Education from Windsor University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. She is an avid reader and enjoys taking improv classes in her spare time.
