This week in the urbanmoms.ca Marketplace we’re pleased to bring you Christine’s story:
Here is a picture of me and my two beautiful children from late last summer. Pictures like this are why I decided to start working for myself. This picture could have been taken any day of the week because I now get to set my own hours as a Mommy Entrepreneur!
I am a nutritionist and weight loss coach as well as now being a co-founder of a company called the Feed Me People (FMP Inc). We are an organization that is dedicated to helping parents help their children reach optimal wellness. We aim to be the the source of credible nutritional information and support for parents, caregivers, and educators. We are committed to assisting parents find the various tools, education, and inspiration that they need in order educate themselves and their families on how to eat high-quality, well-balanced and nutritious meals, regardless of their financial status.
Our first ‘tool’ is our cookbook entitled "Feed Me..I’m Hungry!" It is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication and the care put into creating these delicious, nutritionally dense recipes is a reflection of our passion for feeding our children well and for helping other parents feed their children well. We included culturally influenced recipes (Middle Eastern, Indian, Slavic, Canadian…) and divided the book into easy to use reference sections, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and beverages.
If you are a mom entrepreneur and would like to have your business featured in the urbanmoms.ca Marketplace, send a short (200-300 word) synopsis and a picture (or two) of yourself at work or with your kids to kath@urbanmoms.ca.

This book looks GREAT! Where is it available? I always want to make my kids (and myself!) nutritious meals, but the recipes I find are always categorized into ‘low fat’, ‘low sodium’, etc. I just want good, healthy recipes!
