What do my kids want to do with Daddy on Father’s Day?
We’ll probably start by having dim sum at Dynasty or brunch at our favourite MoRoCo Chocolat in Yorkville and then step onto the streets for the annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show!
If your kids are like mine and are BIG fans of super fast! super cool! super expensive cars! Then you may want to check out the Bloor-Yorkville (Toronto) area this Sunday, June 17 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the 3rd Annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show. Get up close to drool worthy Lambourghinis, Ferraris, Porsches and more. The streets will be lined with the cars and closed off for pedestrian access only. And the great thing is this event is FREE!
The event is in support of Prostate Cancer Canada. For a list of cars participating and other events happening at this one day show visit www.YorkvilleExotics.com
Another great event happening on Father’s Day is the “Put the Boot In” Cup 6th annual charity soccer match at Lamport Stadium. Presented by NXNE in support of Right to Play . Spectators can “pay what you can” (kids enter for free) and enjoy the game.
Players include musicians from Bedouin SoundClash, Broken Social Scene, Great Big Sea as well media personalities from ET Canada, Bravo, CBC, and ROB. Teams are coached by Olympian Adam Van Koeverden and members of the Toronto FC. Should be entertaining!
The day will include a one hour kid’s scrimmage for children 12 and under. Parents must RSVP at kidssoccer@nxne.com in advance. Doors open at noon. Kids game at 12:30. Official match at 1:30 pm.
