How often have you thought, “How did life get so complicated?” Why do things have to change?” Or “I want my old life back!” I know I’ve thought and even said those exact words!
DREAMWORKS has once again created and presented a movie geared towards all ages, reflecting on yet another powerful message we may face at some point in our lives, especially as we get older.
Our old favourite characters are back, along with a new addition, symbolizing the ‘evils’ in life that may lead our thoughts or hearts astray and into a whirlwind of emotions.
More serious than the previous three movies, in my opinion, still colourfully entertaining, I left the private screening theatre very deep in thought thinking a lot about my life. I actually found that many scenes had underlying meanings that could be taken simplistically, or as deeply as one could put in perspective to situations within theirs or others’ lives.
Maybe I was hoping for more laughs from Donkey and Puss-N-Boots, and wishing I were taken away by the humour in this final sequel, but some scenes may have hit too closely to some sad areas in my life. When listening to the McMoms’ discussion of the movie, I found we all had different emotional reactions to this movie.
DREAMWORKS’ ability to be able to enable so many different perspectives, emotions, and thoughts on a production, as well as such incredible graphics can only lead me to think of one thing. It is truly up to each one of ourselves, along with deep insight, an open mind, guidance and support, trust and love, and a positive perspective that will lead us to our own HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Thanks Corrinne, I’m gonna rewatch it again when it comes out. It was the type of movie where you miss things and need to see it again. On a lighter note, check out the picture. I’m look like stickin my butt way out, Shrek looks in shock cause Nay pulled his ear, and Ali looks like she either has bunny ears, or someone is doing the “peace sign” behind her. You guys all look good. Just the background is funny. And my arm is fat…
