There’s a crispness in the air, it snuck up on us overnight. Yesterday I hiked up the mountain and noticed some dried, yellow, curling leaves being swept across my path. Then when I went to the garden I used the bottom of my dress as a basket for a dozen ruby tomatoes and freshly plucked carrots and I made a double batch of the best soup EVER.
The apples are getting heavy on the trees, the night comes a little more quickly, the return of routine is nearing.
I love fall. Love it.
It’s so fleeting and before we know it, the grey chill of winter will have swallowed us whole, but for now, these few beautiful weeks of amber leaves and pumpkin muffins and fresh tomatoes, I will simply savour the perfection and enjoy each day.

That’s really it… yes. All of it. I love the fall too. 🙂
