Falling

November 3, 2011 by Amanda

(Photo taken from super-old blog post I wrote five years ago.)

Fall is my favourite season and here’s why:

1. The colours. Scarlet and mahogany leaves swirling in the wind.
2. The foods. Roasted root vegetables, stick-to-your-ribs soups, and fresh-backed biscuits.
3. The specialty drinks. Pumpkin Spice latte. For only eight bucks you can have one, too!
4. The fire. Our wood stove crackles through the night, keeping us toasty and warm.
5. The leftover Halloween candy. Well, it’s a love-hate relationship.
6. The ordering of Christmas cards. I did it today and can’t wait to get them.
7. Planning the upcoming holiday baking I’ll do.
8. Apple harvest. Our orchard is almost plucked clean, just a few more varieties to be picked.
9. Bailey’s in my hot chocolate once the kids are in bed.
10. Digging out the scarves and bundling up for the crispness in the air.
What about you? What’s your favourite season?

I’d say a that fall is my least fave season.
But there are some things I do like about it:
The stores and malls getting dressed up for Christmas.
    Holiday commercials.
    Tim Hortons holiday cups.
Nightime coming earlier makes bedtime so much easier.
Anything in the crockpot filling the house with a delicious aroma.

    Mmmm…Bailey’s.
I like the weather right now but there is snow in the forecast and I’M NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT.
