“Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that?”
Welcome to my brain.
I’ve been lusting over the Clarisonic for YEARS now, but it’s one of those things that I repeatedly put in my Sephora shopping cart, stare at, sigh, and put back. Like, $150 for something no one sees? Really? AND YET, it apparently — through, I can only assume, magic, witchcraft, and unicorn tears — produces glowy flawless and poreless results, all up on your face? Surely there is no price tag for that, right?
Welcome to my internal struggle.
So, I turn it over to you: is it worth it? Do you have a Clarisonic? Is it life-changing? What about one of the cheaper versions (like Olay Professional Pro-X)? My face is in your hands! Or…something less weird-sounding.

Buying a Clarisonic is the best thing I have ever done for my skin! I too have oily but dry skin and have always struggled with finding the right mix of cleansers, medications, etc. I’ve even been seeing a dermatologist for several years and nothing I’ve been prescribed has ever worked as well as the Clarisonic. I have the Pro version, which is nice, but not necessary. I’d definitely consider buying either the Classic or Mia version. I even got my Mom hooked on the Clarisonic and she loves it as well. For full disclosure, I think that if you have decent skin to being with this probably isn’t going to rock you world, but if you have any ongoing issues, a Clarisonic is likely to clear them up for you. At least, that’s been my experience.

I asked my hairdresser about hers and she said it was great – if you have time to give yourself a facial every day. I’m usually so pressed for time in the morning that I don’t have an extra five or 10 minutes to do this; so I’ve opted out.

I have the Mia. I got it a few months ago and I love it. I know no one SEES it but they see my skin every day. I don’t know if it is making a huge difference but my face feels cleaner and my pores are smaller, which is what I really wanted to happen.
The Mia is cheaper on Amazon than Sephora for some reason, but then of course you don’t get your Beauty points.

I got it for Christmas and I LOVE it! My mom has the original one but I have the Mia which is smaller and less expensive. My mom had been raving about it since she got it so I asked for the Mia for Christmas. I have horrible skin. Combination between oily and dry flaking (how does that happen?) This has cleared up my skin and it is so smooth. I use it usually once a day but sometimes twice a day. I have very sensitive skin and it does not bother my skin and actually helps with breakouts. I did lots of research on it before asking for it for Christmas and everyone seems to love it. I say go for it!

OMG, Jen! I thought EXACTLY the same thing! Seriously, though, for real? I don’t get it. Have you seen results on your friends? And, really, what exactly would one be looking for?
Jennifer says
Hmmmm….I’m just wondering if a new head for my Oral-B toothbrush wouldn’t do the same trick for about $130 less??
Sara says
I had never even heard of it! But it looks divine.

A friend of mine and her hubby each received one for Christmakkah… I’m living by proxy. (Probably worth every penny, I’m thinking. Ack.)
