Emma Watson, Now with Less Tress

August 11, 2010 by Unknown

So, this is Emma Watson. You may recognize her from that little franchise called HARRY POTTER.

Correction. That WAS Emma Watson. Because now THIS is Emma Watson.

Now, I *might* be in the minority here, but I absolutely LOVE it. She claims that she “fancied a change” which, you know, after filming 107 Harry Potter movies, I can totally see how she might be ready to look something very NOTHermione, and also, you know, this looks totally works for Carey Mulligan and she’s kind of all the rage these days. You know, it’s that whole British impish sprite look. It works for some.
There are rumors, though, that Watson pulled a near-Britney to prove to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’s director David Fincher that she actually has the chops and the balls to play Lisbeth Salander in his upcoming film.
I will be honest, I haven’t yet finished the book. I actually am only about 200 pages in, and if you’ve read the book, you know that, um, well, pretty much NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET. So, I don’t really know how I feel about Emma Watson playing Lisbeth Salander, but I DO know that this look really works for her.
Hot damn, I wish I could pull off a pixie cut. I will kill to look impish and spritey.
What do you think? Have you read the book? Who would you pick to play Lisbeth? Someone younger? Older? Edgier?

I looooove it as well – although in that particular pic she looks full on Rosemary’s Baby! I chopped mine all off like that once, hideous. I haven’t read it yet but it seems a little big budgety for Hermione Granger…I’m just saying.
