One of the weird things about dating in the modern world is the idea that you end up connecting (or not connecting) with virtual strangers.
Saturday night I went on a black tie blind date. I had never met this man and yet we spent 7 hours at an event together at the 2011 Crystal Ball.
It was set up by a mutual friend and it ended up being a lot of fun.
My week had been particulary busy so I had not had a minute to think about it.
But after I got dressed – younger teenage daughter, who is CEO of SASS in our house, (“mom-you taught me everything I know about being sassy- what can I say, I learned from the best”- see how even that is sassy?) says to me-
“I thought you said NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS and you are going out for the whole evening with one?”
Big smile on her face.
Big slap to her bum.
Lordy, could those shoulders be any more gorgeous..
Your date must have been swooning all night.
