I won’t lie to you. I was kind of looking forward to the Teen Choice Awards 2009. I didn’t even try to pass it off as “research” because, you know, all things celebrity are required for this gig (best. job. requirement. ever.) Oh no, I wanted to see the cast of Gossip Girl. I wanted to see Miley Cyrus give Britney Spears an award. I wanted to see Robert Pattinson. I wanted to see The Jonas Brothers.
and I was looking forward to their “Dare the Jonas Brothers” segment.
But, I mean, yes, it would have been cool if Joe had actually gone through with it and gotten his hair cut by Mike Tyson…
and if Kevin had gotten an actual tattoo, as opposed to just, well, a bad, bad fake.
to announce Hugh Jackman’s win for Choice Movie: Action Adventure.
Hugh was a good sport about it, saying: “I thought that was pretty good work for one commercial break- that was
probably the quickest tattoo in the history of the world! But it was a
good way to get it. And particularly good for me for my street cred,
because my kids like the Jonas Brothers- and just be being near them,
that’s all that matters.”
heh.
and if Nick had a dare that wasn’t so, um, lame.
but, um, they are still cute.
and I still enjoyed watching my boyfriend Joe up on stage.

I thought it was kinda dumb, to be honest…the whole dare concept. Because: AS IF! But whatever…I was most disturbed by Miley’s pole dance! Highlight of the night for me was Black Eyed Peas. For my nearly-nine-year old daughter? Robert Pattinson saying “my favourite hotties are my fans…” She didn’t even catch the so-obvious tongue-in-cheek-ness of it. She just said, “hey, I’m hot ’cause I’m his fan!” CUTE!
