So I had an entry written for this morning but then I woke up in the middle of the night barfing my guts out….so since I need the scanner at work to fully humiliate myself (you’ll just have to wait!) I thought I’d take a break from the washroom and check in.
I’m not totally surprised about this little bout. Will had it on Friday night. While we were at a friends place…in Rochester…the night before our tournament. But we both rallied. Will had an awesome day with my friend Karen and her kids and my sister and I won the consolation draw of the tourney.
Needless to say I was spent on the Saturday night…and my ass and legs are still burning from all the court action. Will and I went back to my friends, had a tub and went to bed. In the morning, I realized I left the all important bag of books out in my car. It was rainy so I wanted Will to stay in the house. I left him at the side garage door – in the garage. BIG MISTAKE. Now…as I tell you this story, please try and visualize in your head….
When I turn around from the car, Will is standing on the porch…with the door open. Big mistake because my friends have two new cats who were more than happy to bolt out the door. Awesome…here we go.
For the next five minutes, I was a cat wrangler. So I’m trailing two cats, trying to keep Will on the porch and not wake anyone up with my instructions to getting him to stay there. I grab the first one, who was nicely rolling around in some mud. Then in my jammies, glasses and no bra – I proceed to sprint down the street after the second cat. Somehow, I grabbed it. And the cat fight began in my arms. I run up the driveway, throw the cats in the door, grab the book bag and Will and go in. And he cheers…’YAY MOMMY’. I laughed ten minutes later once my head and heart had stopped pounding.
Oh did I mention….came to find out they are F(*^ing OUTDOOR CATS!!!!!
Back to bed….

F&*&ing cats! I can’t believe they were outdoor cats after all of that! Maybe you have a future in cat wrangling?
Hope you’re feeling better soon.

It was good practice for next time in case they are indoor cats.
