Breaking Up With The Bachelor

June 14, 2011 by Sara

It’s over.  **sigh**.  It’s been a constant in my life since 2002 – yes almost a decade.  But it’s over.  I’m breaking up with The Bachelor and Bachelorette.

Jake and his boring, neurotic ways walked me to the ledge.  Brad and his endless ‘journey’ and therapy sessions had me hanging by a twig BUT Ashley, perhaps the most boring bachelorette in history has made me jump.
I always liked the Bachelorette a bit more than the other way around.  I love watching 20 guys primp and fight and act like morons.  It makes me feel okay with being single.  And they usually pick great girls for the show.  I looooved Meredith – my all time fave.  And our own Canadian Gillian!  But now they’ve lost me. I MAY watch the finale because I have this sneaking feeling that it could be the time that no one shows up for the final rose!
I’m not going cold turkey though….Bachelor Pad is coming!  Cut me some slack…it’s a decade long addiction!
You?  Are you watching this season?  Who was your fave??

**Mine was Bob.  Yes, we went to meet him.  He was chewing gum.  I was out!  Yes I realize this could be why I’m still single.**

You and me both. Even Jennifer Valentyne, this morning, talked about how BORING Ashley is.
I prefer watching her sister (she was profiled on TLC’s Extreme Couponing – she extreme coupons with her ex-husband!)
I found this season way to scripted with the whole Bentley thing. I decided to stop watching it when the mask guy was *just*about*to*take*it*off and another guy walked in and interrupted the reveal. That annoyed me. As if.
When the whole “Melissa being dumped by Jason on tv” went down I saw an interview with the exec producer and ew! he is a smarmy douchebag.

I watched the first season and all the tongues down one throat after another turned my stomach and I couldn’t keep watching. I can’t believe it’s been going on for 10 years!
