So…due to an overwhelming response about the boots…this is what I went with…
And now I am the proud owner of shiny new riding boots.
Which, of course, now has me scouring department stores and online for awesome new tights and knee-his to wear with them.
And I am trying to embrace leggings.
I have always been a little bit afraid of leggings…mostly because they were so horrible in the 80s when they had stirrups attached and were paired with a top that most likely had shoulder pads. Also…there’s that whole how-I-feel-about-my-thighs thing.
But, enter Rachel Bilson…
She looks so good, don’t you think? And SUPER comfy, which is perfect for a mom-on-the-go like me.
What do you think? yay or nay on the leggings with my new riding boots?

haha. Carol! That’s what happens when you have skinny calves. I have teeny calves and all boots look like that on me. heh.

I didn’t realize that it was fashionable for your riding boots to fit wider than the top portion of your calf. I always thought that your boots should fit snuggly. Rachel certainly looks great, so I guess I was wrong!

Absolutely on the leggings!! They are super comfy and will look amazing with your new boots! My tip on leggings is make sure they have enough lycra (I am guessing that’s the material) to make them stay up. One pair I have are constantly falling down at the crotch and it’s VERY uncomfortable and probably not all that attractive when I’m yanking them up!! ha ha! 😉 I also agree that short shirts (i.e. at hip height) worn with leggings are for the young girls out there and that us women should wear leggings with longer shirts. Just more age-appropriate in my opinion.

My vote is NAY. The leggings are ok, but the white shirt has to be replaced with something longer and another color. I prefer RED.

I’m with you on the leggings front, but somehow hating my thighs never stopped me from wearing Lululemons 5 days a week! So perhaps a trial pair of leggings is in order?
