Now here’s where I ask you for some advice!
I need to buy a new pair of boots for winter and I’m trying to decide between three different pairs. They are three VERY different pairs.
Pair #1: The Button Uggs. I have never really been interested in Uggs at all. I kind of find them, well, Uggly. But, I don’t know. This season, they have slapped a button on them. And now I really want them! In black, only, though.
Pair #2: The Riding Boots. I want something comfy, but also something I could dress up.
Pair #3: The Booties. I have been debating for a really long time about these. I didn’t buy any last season, because they just seemed a little bit too Cyndi Lauper-esque. But, I don’t know..the more I see them, the more interesting they become to me…with some colored tights and a skirt?
SO?

I own a pair of uggs.. they are SO comfortable, HOWEVER, they are NOT waterproof OR water resistant even.. not so practical on a snowy, blowy day. I’d definately go with the riding boot, as they are the hot trend right now with leggings and that perfect sweater!

I also vote for the riding boots. They are far more flexible than the other two pairs. You can wear them with pants, skirts, or dresses. I have 3 pairs of boots that I live in during the fall, winter and spring. The Uggs are extremely casual and the others with the heels are harder to style and the heels limit their wearability.

Riding boots are a must have for this season! Everyone is wearing them. I just bought myself a pair and couldn’t be happier. I wasn’t sure whether they would suit me because I am short. But I was able to find boots that were the right length for my legs. I wear when I am dressed casually and in the evenings when I am going out. The Uggs look great. I heard that they keep your feet extremely warm in the winter. They are much less expensive in the US. So, buy the riding boots and pick up the Uggs the next time your in the States.

Jessica, I agree with Jen. #2 are beautiful and practical. I have the same attitude towards Uggs as you. (Wasn’t interested in them until this year) When I was in a shoe store last I asked a young girl about her Uggs and asked about the suede holding up in the snow (cause I was thinking about the times I will be having snowball fights with the kids) and she said that they do get wet on the inside and out and the wear shows on the outside. So (especially for the price) that ruled them out for me. Hope this helps!

Jessica – if you can only do 1 pair then go for #2. They are really cute with jeans but you could wear them with a skirt, like a cute kilt or something. I love them!
