I am in a post-Christmas fog. The tree is dropping dry needles all over the floor, there are six bags of shredded wrapping paper perched by the entry way waiting for recycling day, all of the gifts need to be organized and put away in proper places…and it must shock you greatly to hear that I don’t feel like dealing with ANY of it.
I am exhausted. This Christmas, while filled with precious family time, kind of sucked. A violent flu bug worked its way through our home and eight out of the the ten people here spent a good part of the week wretching and losing control of their bowels. Good times. We cancelled Christmas dinner, my husband ended up in the ER, we didn’t open presents until the afternoon of Christmas Day, and everyone was in a haze.
We still managed to squeeze in some good memories, and I am truly thankful for any time spent with loved one, but overall it was a bit of a rough go.
I think I might have a case of the post-Christmas blues. Anyone else fighting them too?

I hope you’re feeling much better now, bella… poor you. May the New Year start out on a healthy note!! Sending you hugs… xox

YES! TOTALLY! We also dealt with sickness through Christmas Eve and Christmas although luckily not the kids. I’m also dealing with the reality that my husband starts his new job next week and will, from now on, be gone all week. Let’s hope this house sells quickly so we can get moved.

That very bug went through our family. Eva and I were the last 2 to get it – it hit us on the 22nd. Hard.
Thankfully we were feeling well enough to enjoy Christmas by the time it passed which I am grateful for as my sister is here from BC with her family.
Sending LOTS of feel-better vibes your way – hope everyone is back to better in no time!
