To my first trimester, I say, “Good riddance!” I am now closing in on the 16th week of this pregnancy and it’s nice to finally look undeniably pregnant and not have people silently wonder if I’ve just let myself go.
See, I’m pregnant and I’ve let myself go. There’s a difference.
It’s hard for me to believe I’m already this big so early on, but there’s no stopping this belly. I hope my girth becomes a little less startling so that I won’t look ready to pop when I’ve still got months to go, but my expectations are low.
Everyone says the second trimester is the best and most enjoyable, and I’m hoping they’re right. It has been nice to regain some of my energy and motivation and we’ve got a busy few months ahead of us with our home renovations, moving out of our present living arrangement and into our new place, getting packed and settled in, all while getting bigger by the day and chasing after our two feral children.
I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who has been reading here! I love the community and support I’ve found and am so enjoying writing here. You guys are the best.

You do look great. I hope you have a better 2nd trimester than I had – none of that getting back my energy for me for my 3rd pregnancy! (38 weeks and still tired!)

You look fantastic Amanda, I’m officially jealous. As someone who also has startling girth while pregnant, I gave up trying to look cute/pretty/stylish and pretty much lived in my pj’s for the last three months of my pregnancy. To echo the other posters, you look great in purple and you DEFINITELY do not look like you’ve let yourself go.

I was thinking how great your arms look and how thin you look in general. The dress is great, and you are wearing it. Welcome 2nd trimester!

I’m with you on the finally being able to look undeniably pregnant. I’ve been sucking in for weeks now though it didn’t help at all; it was a psychological hic up that I’m glad I can let go of now. Breathe! oh it is divine, if only that little person pushing on my diaphragm would let up a bit. Oh well. Viva la Belly! On ward and out ward.
Nice pic btw. you are as stunning as ever. I’m going to take your picture when I get my hair cut next and see if they can make my head look like yours some how. Looking forward to week 17.

I already told you this, but I LOVE that dress on you.

You look amazing, Amanda! Plus, it is your third pregnancy so those muscles were all ready to pop out. You will just coast through it now. Loving your blog!

You are too beautiful. I hate you. Okay, not really, but I may have to petition someone to make it a crime to look that hot while being knocked up (note: maybe that’s why you got knocked up in the first place?).
Plus, is it bad that I’m not pregnant and yet I covet your amazing dress?

You look beautiful!!! Purple really suits you too! 🙂
