So another topic I wanted to touch on is of course the beef and the chicken. Yes, I am a lover of animals…all animals. I have to say I was skeptical at first and really wasn’t sure what I was going to end up thinking about the whole process.
So I went to the factories which are owned by Cargill. I was so happy to find out that they have their own employees who actually monitor animal welfare. They oversee everything to ensure that the whole process for these animals is as humane as possible. Unless you are a true vegan or vegetarian we all eat chicken and beef in one form or another. This being said we all know that in order to have that burger or chicken nugget it has to meet its maker.
All I can say is that I was overwhelmed and impressed by the lengths they go to in making sure guidelines for animal safety and welfare are adhered to. So I want to open up the door to anyone who has any questions and concerns about the process.

Hi MJ! From what I have witnessed and experienced with my tours as well as just my general knowledge about the McDonald’s beef… is that it is 100% PURE!The farms and farmers are selected by Mcdonalds according to their standards, which to me are very high! They raise them the old fashioned way on farms owned and operated by mostly families, father’s and sons, mothers and daughters etc.
The whole experience opened up my eyes to the fact that Mcdonald’s really wants home grown food for their customers. The cattle are cared for and fed a certified feed grain and hay which there are no “added ingredients”…to my knowledge. All cattle are monitored and seen to on a daily basis. They do not give thier cattle hormones or antibiotics that I know of.
Thank you so much for your questions! I hope my answer helped!

Hi Laura. I am relieved to hear this about having a humane process but what about the quality of the meat? Do they give them hormones, antibiotics, etc.? You hear all of these things and never know what to believe. Thanks!
