Bath & Books

July 23, 2010 by MJ

Ever since the baby stage (minus the newborn days with the Witching Hour) I have loved the evening with my children. I love the play time and hearing stories about their day. I love the bath, the naked little bodies, and the smell of clean. I love snuggling up with them in bed as we share a story book of their choosing, pointing at the pictures and creating memories of our own.
Now, as my kids get older, I find that I really miss this. I miss the routine and I miss my role in it. I miss the predictability and connection. I miss the bath and books.

I agree. There is nothing better than a freshly bathed babe all comfy cozy in onesie jammies.
    *sigh*

I TOTALLY get this! As my kids get older I really miss that time. But in some ways I think I imagined it because I also remember, often, being stressed out about getting them to bed!

I can relate. Those precious moment bathing and reading to my children were so special.
Now my kids hate bathing. Getting them to shower is painful!
