Banish the Frizz

July 27, 2010 by Jennifer

From coast to coast, and sea to sea, there is one issue that has women all over our country talking this summer. It may not be making front page news, but it’s the topic women turn to over coffee, wine, twitter and yoga mats.

This summer weather wreaks havoc on hair. The humidity across the nation turns curly haired girls into big poofs, straight haired girls weeping into their flat irons and those in between are sporting odd-shaped do’s.
What’s a girl to do? It’s been far too  many years since Sinead O’Connor and Demi Moore made the buzz cut popular, so I’d suggest turning to product, and I’ve found one that I swear by this summer.

Avon’s Advance Techniques Frizz Control Lotus Shield Anti-Frizz Treatment lives up to its substantial name. It’s a leave-in treatment applied to damp hair that forms a lightweight barrier to help block out humidity. I like it because it didn’t weigh my hair down, and kept my hair looking smooth in some pretty nasty Toronto humidity this month.
What’s more, unlike some products, the longer I use this frizz control serum, the better my hair looks. One month in, and I’m not noticing a buildup or “product fatigue”.

It’s only $12.99 for a bottle that will easily see you through a Canadian summer (insert your own two to three week long joke here) and is available this month from your favourite Avon sales represenative or online.
Another reason I’m loving Avon this summer is that the company has teamed up with The Nature Conservancy to develop the “Hello Green Tomorrow” campaign.  Avon has donated $1,000,000 and customers can easily donate $1 each with their Avon purchase to help with this great cause. The original goal was to plant one million trees in the South American Atlantic Rainforest, but the company has been able to double their goal.
Healthier trees = healthier planet. Healthier planet = less global warming. That’s two ways your hair will thank you!

As an Avon rep, I love this stuff. My hair is fine and wavy, and usually anti-frizz makes my hair feel dirty. Avon’s anti-frizz is fanstastic, keeps the frizz away with no oily dirty feeling.
