the husband, bless his heart, didn’t want to sleep in on father’s day. seriously. but Isabella, the child-who-should-be-sainted, decided to sleep in until 8:30 on sunday morning…allowing both the husband and me to sleep in. the other kids went downstairs…on their own…awe.some.
so, i offered to let the husband take Emily to ballet at 9…and then he’d be off for an hour to get coffee and relax. the idea was great. in theory. until Emily remembered that she forgot her tap shoes AND ballet slippers at home. so, her daddy came home to pick them up and bring ’em all the way back for her.
but, it gave me the morning with my two youngest bunnies.
we made some "pillapillas" (caterpillers. don’t think THAT didn’t confuse the hell out of me. the whole time i thought she was saying she wanted to make some bella bellas…which is what she calls herself.)
we broke mommy’s watch:
we visited the bathroom…not once, not twice, but THREE times:
we showed off our half-naked runway style:
we called our grandpas for father’s day…and then we ate the phone (teething much?):
we begged our mommy for chocolate milk:
we spilled on our shirt and had to get changed. AND we had to show mommy how we could put on our own socks:
we got a boo-boo on our knee that needed immediate band-aid attention:
we tried to kill ourselves. twice:
and Joshie played webkinz:
and then the clock struck 11am.
sheesh.
and lest my oldest attention-seeking daughter think that i love her any less than the other two…here are the pictures of her that she FORCED me to take. "For your BLAWG, mommy."
hope y’all had a happy father’s day 😉
