I think I need to have a chat with my mother-in-law.
What happened to holding your breath, drinking from a cup upside down or someone scaring the bejeezus out of you??

soooo funyyyyyyyyy
Oh and my kids told me that singing Oh Canada is a definite cure. Go figure
the most fascinating piece of news I recently found was that requisite glass of OJ in the morning has 8 teaspoons of sugar in it. Now that fact will definitely cure momma’s hiccups. Boo!
i knew of someone who put the soother in corn syrup before giving it to their child. hmm…
on another note…interested in the antibiotic damaged teeth. i found out last year that my oldest has the same thing. completely a mystery to me until the dentist said something. i might email you somehow to ask a couple of questions if that’s okay….
OK. First and foremost that little girl could NOT be any cuter! OMG. Seriously. Watched it 3 times just to hear her say, “but what about duice?” Love!
Seriously? A spoon full of sugar AND juice? Wow. Good luck!
Shawn – I left out the part where Eva spent a day at Sick Kids in dental surgery back in April. Sugar is NOT what her antibiotic damaged teeth need. I also left out that Gramma also puts sugar on top of strawberries.
However – I do remember being a kid and dousing my cereal with sugar. So much so that there was a layer of it at the bottom in the milk.
Sara – you got it! You got it all!
please refer to #3 on my list….:)
What else would you expect her to have for breakfast, hiccups or not? Geez… 🙂
I actually remember giving my sister sugar for her hiccups once when we were kids. You know what? It actually worked. Weird.
My go to method though is: hold your breath and drink as much as you can before you have to let it out. Something about that calms your diaphragm down so it stops spasming.
