The girls and I were making cookies and playing music. The iPod was on shuffle and the Tennessee Waltz started to play. It’s a beautiful version by Sarah Harmer. I used to dance to it all the time with both girls on my hips – that and the Teddy Bear Waltz – I love a good waltz, don’t you.
I grabbed Fiona and began to waltz around the kitchen. I wish I could have captured the look of joy on her face, and the feeling of joy in my heart.
It was one of those moments.
Bliss.
Alas, I cannot find Sarah’s version on YouTube – it’s on the album Songs for Clem if you want to buy it.
sniffffffffffffff
Erin- I know exactly what you felt. Pure Bliss indeed. Good for you for being open to the wonderful moment. xx
Love those totally spontaneous moments. Finding bliss in the everyday – that’s what it’s all about
