I recently wrote here about one of my favorite lip stains ever, but — while awesome — the Tarte LipSurgence line can be a tad pricey. I realized I have another, cheaper favorite in my bag that I wanted to share with you all.
While I don’t think it truly lives up to the “16HR” name, it definitely lasts for a while, especially if you’re not eating/drinking. It’s essentially a magic marker for your lips, and it comes in a great variety of shades. (I have it in Neverending Nude — which is exactly what it sounds like HAHAHAA OH, GOD SOMEONE GET MY JOKE — and Champagne Stain.) I think the packaging design and product rivals much more expensive brands. It doesn’t have the creamy/glossy quality of the Tarte LipSurgence stain, but what I like about the “marker” consistency is that it allows for building the color’s intensity. It’s a great summer/humidity-friendly product, and plus — at around $5 — the price on this one is definitely right.
