A Beautiful Boy

August 6, 2010 by Christine

This post may come off as arrogant or boastful, and if it does I apologize but for as long as I’ve been Cuyler’s mommy I have had people comment on his looks.
Just last weekend 3 different people commented on him.
One said “Your son is just beautiful!”
Another said “What a lovely face he has.”
And the other said “Wow.  He’s really beautiful.”

Don’t get me wrong – we hit the jackpot three times with good-looking kids.  When I was pregnant with Eva I was afraid I’d get the ugly baby as the first 2 were pretty good looking.
Everyone comments on Cams beautiful red hair

And Eva’s stunning blue eyes:
IMG_0118.jpgBut there is just something about Cuyler that captures people.  We can’t quite pinpoint it. Maybe his darker colouring?  The dimple?  His round face?  Dunno…but he sure is handsome.
Take a look at a few of my favourite pictures of him.  I often wonder how much money he could have made modelling.  (Enough to pay for all the therapy I bet!)

Even when his big boy teeth came in – he still managed to stay handsome.

Looking at these photo’s all together makes me a little sad to think about all the times I’ve just about lost my mind with frustration.
He’s such an amazing boy. We’ve worked hard to get him where he is.  HE’S worked hard to get where he is.  But somedays it just feels like we have so far to go.

I’ll bring up this post any time I feel like I can’t manage and see the love of my kids looking back at me.  That’s sure to help.

He is absolutely beautiful! Its the warmth in his eyes the fact that they smile even when he is not smiling. He is a child who glows from the inside out. You can see that so easily in his pictures!!

It’s funny – I wonder if there is something about these kids on the spectrum because my nephew Scotty is beautiful. And it’s in the eyes like Cuy – maybe it’s a secret that they have that they’re holding on to.

I love this post. I love that face. There is indeed something about Cuyler. All of your kids are beautiful. That dimple. Those eyes. Adorable, mama. Bookmark this post for THOSE days. xoxo
