1. Eat every 3 hours – even if you’re not hungry. This will keep your metabolism fired up for maximum calorie burning and will help curb any potential night-time binges!
2. Do circuit training 2-4 times per week. This is the best way to quickly burn body fat and tone up (visit www.omegaslimwomen.com for sample programs you can do at home!).
3. Perform some type of activity 5 days per week, for 20-40 minutes. It could be as simple as going for a walk with the kids, playing a game of tennis or jumping on a cardio machine at your gym/home.
4. Plan your meals in advance. Then, fix your meals in advance and freeze them. It’s important to shop at least once a week. This will help ensure you’re fully stocked up on good foods so you’re not tempted to go off your game plan.
5. Be consistent with your exercise routine and nutrition program. Your best bet is to make a lifestyle change that you can stick with week in and week out.
6. Drink water regularly. Aim for 8-10 glasses a day. Water is important for normal bodily functions and it helps aid in weight loss as well.
7. Avoid carbs at dinner time. Have your carbs in the morning and afternoon so you’re more likely to burn them off during your daily activities.
8. Hire a personal trainer for extra motivation. A personal trainer can help you get the most out of your training and make sure you stay on track for success. Make sure you hire someone that is fully qualified and has a good reputation to ensure safety and results. Check out CircuitFIT in midtown Toronto (www.circuit-fit.com).
