The Post-Beaches Downer

April 27, 2009 by Jen

Well, I’m back from my spectacular fantasy-like jaunt to Beaches Turks & Caicos and I gotta say, reality bites. After a 1:30am bedtime and a restless slumber I woke up missing the Caribbean breeze. This place was a true retreat and a wonderful opportunity for me and my girl to connect. Who knew she was such a great traveler? Such a flexible and friendly little person? Not me. I learned SO much about her and would do this again any time.

So, after a whirlwind tour with my boy to London and Paris and this fabulous getaway with my girl it was time to get back to reality. But, before we landed in Toronto the girl and I each had one more special thing to remember about our trip:

For Her? A visit with the Captain in the cockpit of the airplane! She got to push buttons and everything.
A Visit to the Cockpit

For Me? The awe inspiring view out my window.
The View from the Airplane

Look for a review of this resort from me coming soon!

    Sigh…
it is always rough coming back from an island getaway. It is balmy breezes that you mentioned that you miss the most. And of course those fruity rum drinks!

I guess the vacation itself wouldn’t feel so amazing if reality didn’t bite, eh?

It looks so amazing. I can’t believe she got to see the cockpit…I always longed to do that and never got a chance. I think I am too old now. And pressing the buttons too….
