You know the expression “life is too short”? Ever heard of “carpe diem”? Well, I have and now I plan on living it. I am learning what I always thought I knew. Life, my friends, is for living. The legacy we leave behind is not about how many things you’ve bought or how pretty you looked or how successful you were in your career. The legacy we leave is in the memory of others we’ve touched. And, from now on, my focus is on creating them and cherishing the ones I’m given.
So, after just touching down from my whirlwind tour of London and Paris with my 9-year-old the wonderful folks at Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos have invited me and my 6-year-old daughter to experience the new Italian Village & Pirate’s Island Waterpark. This is a fabulous opportunity to check out a world class resort. It is also a great way to spend some special time with my girl.
But for me, it is a time to sit back and enjoy because times have been tough the last few months. This is a reminder that even when your world is upside down and you are living a nightmare, life goes on and good things can happen. I’ll be posting from there and talking to the Beaches folks about how we can come up with a way to give more urbanmoms.ca members a chance to go! So here is where I’ll be for part of this week:
