When L’il E was a newborn he was not a snuggler. He was happy to just lay around independently and sleep. He was always the envy of my other mom friends. He would just go to sleep anywhere.
LJ on the other hand is a huge snuggler and I’m happy about it because I’m getting my cuddle fix, but man does it ever take up a lot of time. He’s a super chubster to boot so my pipes are getting a workout. Enter the SleepBelt! I wish I had known about this product earlier because it’s made for those first three months.
The SleepBelt is a hands free belt that basically secures your babe to your bod so you can chill out and read a book, nap or just sit and stare at the wall (cuz sometimes that’s all the energy you have). What makes this different from all the other hands free support systems on the market is that its design facilitates the smooth transfer of a sleeping baby from your chest to crib. All you do is stretch and pull the SleepBelt off your baby and bam sleeping baby is in the crib without wriggling him/her out of shoulder straps.
This would make an amazing gift for a new mom because you really need to use it right out of the gate. It’s a great apparatus for skin-to-skin time in those first couple of weeks when you’re so tired and need to doze but don’t want to drop your little munchkin.
The SleepBelt has a retail price of $59.99 and for now is only available online and at Diaper-Eez and Fifty-Seven.
I encourage you to give it a try. It’s made in Canada too!

I bought one just after my little one was born and used it almost everyday for skin-on-skin and cuddle time. Sadly he is almost grown out if it. I’m going to buy one for all my new mom friends! I highly recommend it!
