words for wednesday- without hurry or panic

October 17, 2012 by Nancy

Mary's chalkboard.jpg

This is Mary’s chalkboard.
It is in her kitchen where she starts her day and ends her day.
Here she writes words and sayings and prayers to help her master her grief, breathe in and out and take time for gratitude.
I loved all of these maybe especially- ” I have the power and responsibility to keep my life moving” I can totally relate to this.

“Without hurry or panic I will dwell in the house of grief” This is reassuring to all those who want results overnight or demand to feel better or right without going through the necessary steps and the all important tonic of time.

I was thinking this board at one time may have had things like “don’t forget your lunch for the field trip” or “take car in for an oil change” and other benign daily notes. One day many many  days from now – a number of days no one can predict-these notes will return and things will be a little bit easier.
I promise.

You are right – I should not say “easier” I have no idea really. I am just a believer in time and how it helps. xx

Nancy dear, grief top 10…..I may have this print and hang around my neck. My only addition would be: to the question, “Is it getting any easier or better?”
“No….its never going to be better or easier…just different
