Stick-to-it-iveness

June 16, 2013 by Nancy 2 Comments

This was one of my dad’s favourite words.

He probably used this word every day  my whole life.

He hated the idea of giving up and quitting so much so I feel that is part of the reason he has survived so much in the last decade.

I thought it was a “dad-ism”- a word my dad made up -as he had so many.

I now realize it is in the Webster dictionary

dogged perserverance, tenacity

This is a word  and a characteristic I think about every day. It motivates me always.

Thanks Dad.

I love all the ways I am like you and lets face it – not fond of  a few of them too…

What is your favourite lesson from your dad?
